Thread: Help Please: Few keys are not working in Keyboard

Hi Guys,

I have Dell Inspiron 1525 Laptop. When I was browsing last night, suddenly some of the keys were started to fail to function. The keys are 'N', 'B', 'Space Bar', 'Right Arrow','Left Arrow','Up Arrow'.

I have reinstalled OS (Vista) and then tried, but still the problem exists. I dont think there could be any problem with my keys, like dust ot something.

There is no separate software for the keyboard. I cant do anything with the BIOS.

Do you have any idea?

Control panel > Key board > Hardware tab > select your Key board > Troubleshoot

I too have this problem, but keys are
in line. say (8 i k m) or 9 o l . ) etc. one in each row.
Usually right side keys are affected.
If you open and close the laptop often
this problem can arise.
Try slight pressure on the sides of the screen. Also I used to press repeatedly more keys at the same time !!!
Mine is Dell Inspiron 8000 .
You can connect additional Key board
and confirm, No hardware problem in laptop.
Or you can install screen keyboard for the problem keys.
