Default Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 - Windows 7 issues

I am facing a problem with the Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 (see above image). The Windows 7 does not load its driver correctly. I have the latest software and drivers from Logitech but no go.

Funnily enough, I was able to install the Logitech Quickcam Orbit/AF (see below image). This webcam uses the same software and requires the same driver.

    Does anyone have answers?

I am having the 32-bit Win 7 version - so no problems there.

I did download the correct version - but so far no success. Thanks a lot for helping.

May be the old trick of
    (a) Uninstalling the drivers,
    (b) download again and store in a folder.
    (c) start system connecting the Camera
    (d) Windows 7 asks for drivers for new hardware.
can be tried. ( since it is mentioned the software and drivers are same for both quick cams )

Did you download the drivers from Logitech website or through Windows Update?
I am asking this because Microsoft is notorious for releasing out-dated drivers.

Tried this too. Earlier both, the Pro 9000 and Orbit/AF were not working. After unistalling and reinstalling, the Orbit/AF is now working. Also tried the following:

    a) After the installer package copies (unzips) the installer package and waits for "Next" input, I copied all the driver packages from "temp" folder to another folder
    b) After connecting the Pro 9000 webcam, when windows 7 asked for drivers (inf) file, pointed to the saved directory.

That did not work. I have raised an issue with Logitech but I am not sure of getting a response soon.

    @just4kix
seems the difference is the driver/s you download.
If you can't get the software or drivers to install right, here's how.

1.Don't use the disc it came with. Go here to get it QuickCam® Pro 9000

    2. Choose Windows Vista as the OS then 64 or 32 bit depending if you're running 64 or 32 bit Windows 7.

    3. When it finishes downloading right click on it and choose open containing folder. Right click on the software you downloaded and go to properties.

    4. Go to the compatibility tab and choose Windows Vista (Service Pack 2) and mark the checkbox "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"

    5. Click apply, then ok, then run the software and it should work perfectly.

    Hope this helped.
    Thanks a lot !!!
Works perfectly for me on Windows 7
