Lightbulb H-Shifter For your Racing Simulator.

Hi guys, This is my another article regarding how to make a H pattern shifter that we use in our Real cars by using our old Joystick....
If you have read my Previous Article How to setup a cheap Racing simulator with a Joystick for shifter, this will help you out guys for even more realestic experience...

    Things Needed..

    Cheap Force Feedback Joystick.
    or a
Cheap Joystick with a working X and Y axis...

    Guide for Force Feedback joystick:
The Guide for Force feedback joystick is very simple, just run the Software that i have provided named as H-shifter for force feedback Joystick download it and run the small app...

Click config and select your Joystick and click start..
move your Joystick as using a Real Shifter and check whether the 1st 2nd 3rd gears are correctly coming in an order and watch the Red trigger goes correctly to the box when you move the Joystick...
Launch any Racing games, I preffer Test Drive unlimited and go to Option and controls and in the last option select H-shifter and make sure you have the software running in the background..

Now map the buttons for 1st gear 2nd 3rd by moving the Joystick at the correct place... Thats it...

Force Feedback Joystick locks in the particular gear and non feedback back joystick does not do that...

Guide for Non force Feedback Joystick:

User Must do this at their own risk, as the Joystick wont be able to be used in any other games like Flight sim and all...
Remove the Joystick and take the spring out which make the Joystick to stay in center and close it properly as it was befor and now download and run H-Shifter for non force Feedback Joystick and click shifter.exe and check whether all the Y and x-axis respond, in the setting Tab change the letters if u want, now open a note pad and make your Joystick to Top Left and see if its Types "A" and then move to Bottom left and see if it types "S" thats it...
    Your shifter is ready...
Now go to your game and assign the Keys for 1st 2nd and 3rd gear like that..

Note: When you assign it will display as "A" for the 1st Gear and "S" for the second gear, if it says key already in use, change the alphabet in the Shifter settings to some other letter...

This Small Guide is to make your Shifter more Realistic...

Get a Shifter Nab from any car accessories store and remove the Handls and
buttons from your Joystick and you will Find a white plastic Rod, just fix the Nab on top of it and wolla....

Make a Box like this and place your stick inside, so that you wont miss a gear or it will look even cool...

Thanks for going through my Article....
