I dont know much about the choice of printers out in the market, but know that HP printers and scanners are good, and a laser one is the HP LaserJet 1018 which is Rs6000, although I am not sure if it has a included in it.

I would think if you want a good quality laser printer and scanner you would need to increase your budget a bit.

My suggestion: don't buy any printer.

The cost of the printer may not be high but cost of ink cartridges will be prohibitive. The typical cartridge can print 500 pages or so. But it also has a life. You have to use it within 3 months for best efficiency. Else it dries up. And after seven-eight months the printer will say that cartridge date is expired.

If you go for refilled cartridges, chances are that quality will be very bad, ink leaks all over and worse the inkjet print head damaged permanently.

But if you are very much set in your decision, buy a Canon or HP printer that has the best availability of inks in India.

    Hey
    I bought an HP 4488 All-in-one for only rs4k
Its original cartridge lasted for like 5months (Kanjoos HP filling it halfway only)
Then I bought an original which lasted for 8months
And I refilled it only for rs200;quality difference is negligible and there have not been any leaks

The leaks and quality difference will be observed over a period. The first two to three refils may not have issues.

Or maybe because I did it from a reputed Refilling brand.

There is no such thing as "reputed refilling brand". There is something known as "original" and then there are duplicates - some call it "original duplicates"; but they are still duplicates. If it works for you, that is fine.

    I know that HP 4488
    it's a little brat
    kind of ink gobbler.

i suggest you increase your budget a bit.

    i bought an HP k209a
it is good economical and a twin brother of HP 4488

it cost me around rs 8000
but i think it is worth
draft is lightening fast ,quality wise not that bad.
Also ink catridges are fully filled for 1st time
and it is an AIO(all in one) Print scan copy
I think this is the printer for you.
    !!!!

Hp also offers another look alike which is priced around rs 4500
so if budget is your constraint then you could go for this.

Remember to take a print atleast one in a week.
