    1. Confirm present OS used.
    2. Check here for technical data for upgrading to Windows 7.
    3. Mention the details of present Graphic card.
    ( check in Device Manager)
    wait.....
    check here for graphics card.
Windows 7 Compatibility: Software Programs & Hardware Devices: Find Updates, Drivers, & Downloads
    Also download Upgrade Advisor.

All windows 7 needs is an XP config with better graphics
    512mb Ram
    5gb space
945's onboard graphics should work fine
3.4ghz is very good for win 7

    1.
I usually give the reference websites/links for the user to
learn more about the subject, instead of telling
try this Graphics card, or do this , do that.
"too much spoon feeding"inhibits the learning process.
    2.
Your reply should be directed to the thread starter, instead of other
users/posts, . The thread will go "OFF tangent !"
You are free to say "Why download windows 7 upgrade advisor"
    and make your own recommendations.

    3.
Also my experience with hardware configuration etc is limited to
say three or four desktops/laptops, and I cannot recommend
something about which I have no direct knowledge/experience.
I have no idea motherboard945 ( assumed to be which manufacturer?)
has a built in graphics card.
    4.
If you had mentioned it in your earlier post, I would have refrained from
    posting in this thread.

    Para two :
    5.
No point in using FULL QUOTE from the earlier post.
It is usually done, for a thread
for an old post ,with say 20 or 30 posts.
Then you post your comments/suggestions, contradicting it,
    or correct any wrong information.

    Para three:
    6.
You may suggest a graphic card with cost with "AERO effect"to @rocky73 .
appears he needs another card instead of the built in graphics( card ) in motherboard.

If you want a basic graphics card for aero effects, just get a basic graphics card for your system, something like the ATI HD 4350 512MB for Rs1900 or the Nvidia 8400GS 512MB for Rs1600, I would go for the ATI between the two.

Just make sure that you have a PCI-e , PCI express x16 slot.
