Thread: Hp v155w 8gb flash drive suddenly working very slow!!

Hii have a hp v155w 8gb pendrive which was working very smoothly for the past few months until i gave it to a friend,when my friend returned me the flash drive my avg anti virus detected virus on it so i formatted it.But after that when tried copying a few files from my pc to the drive speed was very slow it is taking 1-2hrs for copying a 700mb movie.All this was on xp so i also tried it on windows 7 but the same problem it has become extremely and useless..any help please???

DON"T RELY ON ME COMPLETELY BUT I CAN GIVE YOU SOMETHING TO WORK ON----

1.Check your drive's firmware.

2.Format it using Default file system eg-FAT 32 and Default allocation size and check again to see if the potentially dangerous data is completely gone.Do a boot time scan of your pen drive.

3.Don't do quick format do a full format.
