Thread: SD HC card compatibility issue!!!!

Hello there, i just bought Sony Digicam. I got a SD HC card (4GB) with it. Now the problem is that my card reader is unable to read it. So, i searched internet for this issue & i got a site where they said to download and install a Hotfix from Microsoft. Its name is WindowsXP-KB934428-v3-x86-ENU.exe.

Hence i downloaded it and when i tried to install it said that the version of windows that i am trying to update is newer than intended by this Hotfix!!!!! My Windows is SP3, XP. What should i do now??????

can u not use the card within the cam, but using a usb cable attached to the camera? get a card reader from the same dealer who sold u the camera!

yup that hotfix is for sp2 only.there are hotfixes for sp3 also.
i dont think its a fault of xp.try connecting via usb cable.

Any Sony Digicam comes with the USB Data Cable in the box.
Try connecting with that.
