    Default LAN Problem

I got me a Sony Vaio VPCEA1S1E Laptop with a Network Adapter by Marvell. If i plug in the LAN Cable it doesnt get recongised in Win7, there is simply no LAN connection although cables work on different PC.

Tried installing new drivers from Marvell homepage, didnt help. Can I change my Lan Card or is it integrated ?
Also what could be the problem ?

    WLAN is functioning ok.

Did you check the LAN adapter ? Is it enabled ? Go to Network and Sharing Center and post the screen shot while ethernet cable is plugged in.

Mention the OS category, is it Windows 7 Ultimate ? Check device manager fo driver status. You can use Windows update to find the correct drivers.

I think it is possible to replace the LAN card, is it still under warranty ?

    First option given above.

    Left side menu
    Check "Change adapter settings".
    Check the LAN connection details.
Whether you created a LAN network. ?
Do you get connected automatically in wifi mode?
Or you use a dialer to connect ?
    2.
IN windows 7 the lan ethernet cable can be left connected,
( port may be on left side middle of laptop )
even if you switch to WIFI mode.
    3.
Also mention details of the modem/wifi router in use.

If you have any problem in LAN system then change the all system as well, sometime wire may have problem so try to check all these common problems first.
