    Default Creative Vs Logitech

Well, guys what's your opinion about these two brands when it comes to gaming. I was using Creative Giga series of speakers which was impressive and were delivery nice sound quality in games, movie or music, than later on I purchased it Logitech Z5500 which was bit expensive as compare to creative and comes 5.1 audio channels . I can say that , Logitech has really very impressive and advanced when it comes to games music or in movie. My experience with both the devices was wonderful but i would like to prefer Z5500 and really its way ahead from creative. What do you think about these two brands when it comes to games.?

I am myself looking for new 5.1 speakers set but I want one which has HDMI input option, USB and also Bluetooth connectivity so I can pair it with my phone and play directly from my mobile phone.

The model you have listed does not have it all. I looked at FD but I am still undecided. Would be interesting to hear what other members have to say.

logitech is better in my opinion, although i have not had an experience with games but i believe sound is sound. logitech sounds better especially when playing deep bass music which i love.

at different price-segments, you get different options. logitech provides more options, and till a higher price segment. its Z5500 was sort of legendary. now the product is no more. creative too had 1 or 2 of 2.1 and 5.1 models very popular with users, and they don't make them anymore. AFAIK, logitech now has Z906 as the 5.1 system which accepts digital input. but its price is unjustifiably high now. but these speakers are only good as desktop/PC speakers. for a fuller experience, one would need to look beyond the 'computer audio' segment. any mid or even some budget-level monitors or bookshelves could blow these computer-audio speakers out of the water in terms of pure SQ. even the likes of speakers like Swans, which also make 2.1 speakers, as well some like Klipsch Audio (ProMedia 2.1), audioengine 2.0, etc., these would provide a user with a different aural perspective. for a casual 'all-round' usage, desktop speakers would do, but when expressly some good SQ is needed (with a good source too), then other kinds of speakers come into the picture. but ultimately, user-preference prevails!

your requirements exactly warrant getting a good, even if an entry-level, AVR-package, say from Yamaha or Denon, etc.

I grew up with the Creative SoundBlaster of sound cards back in the MS-DOS and early Windows days. They were the best in the business back then. However, Logitech seem to be the more consistent company. I've always owned at least one or more Logitech accessories with the various PCs that I've bought over the years. I've always been impressed by their quality of their products and will always favor them over other manufacturers. Creative have sort of fallen off the map for me, for at least a decade.
