    The probable reason is that you will have some portable devices connected to your serial bus.

    I have never seen this happen, but I sure hope you are able to find a solution. It seems that hardware needs to be better tested before sold to the public.

    This is coz ur using a SATA HDD, and SATA has an option of hot swapping, means, u can connect and remove while the computer is working

    a similar issue had also happened to a good friend of mine. tried to format, use diff OS but same prob. It was resolved after he got a new MotherBoard.. It turned out that the old board was/had become faulty..
    If its possible try to check with another MB and c if the poblem is resolved , but then again it could be some other reason regarding ur issue .
