Rep Power: 6 | Install this: Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack It's a 27 MB file. After installing you will be able to open Office 2007 formats in Office 2000, Office XP or Office 2003. |

Rep Power: 2 | Word 2007 has the option in setting to select default save settings, change them to format before 2003 and its done to convert the docx file open the docx files and use save as option it gives option compatible with Word 97-2003. No need for any converters. Everybody using word 2007 faces this problem in the start and they come to know only when they try to open them on systems that have old versions of Word. |

They may contain fonts /new objects/properties etc that wont be supported in other formats ..... Renaming will not solve the problem Quote:

Rep Power: 9 | I use OpenOffice. It can open docx files as well as doc files and can save in MS-Office 2003 format. It also can directly create a PDF copy. And its free. |
