Good one. Thanks for sharing.
Welll I think MouseFix utility is needed for cheap optical mouses & not for good branded ones !
This solution does seem to work for me and I have registered on this site to thank you sauravyou saved my previous INR rupees (even though of my company)
Ok first, thanks sourav for sharing this idea.
Now many people are facing this problem of optical mouses.
including double clicking on single click & dragging problems.
Let me tell you that this is not always a software problem, infact the two above specified problems are mostly due to a worn out mouse clicker or switch.
so you will have to get the switch repaired or repair it yourself if don't wanna buy a new one.
here is the whole procedure to repair the switch yourself(now i can't post the link due to that 15 post rule)1. go to google.com-->type "mouse switch repair"-->click on the result from "ovelockers dot com".
This solved my problem & hope so for you.

i am currently using Dell optical mouse and it is wired. The performance is optimum! Thanks for the knowledge sharing, by the way :-)
Hi,
I am facing different problem with my optical mouse. My mouse's direction is changed after I restarted my machine.
When I move mouse to right side, the pointer moves at bottom side and when I move it to left it moves to up. Vice-versa with top and bottom, moves right and left.
I am not sure whether the file you have provide will work or not. Please confirm whether it will fix this problem also.
I am using Windows XP SP3 and the mouse is UMAX Model # 0116.
Thanks, Divyesh
