Default Intel Cuts Prices of SSDs

Solid State Drive are getting more affordable these days with Intel announcing price cuts of different variants. The X25-M 80 GB notebook drive which had originally retailed at $595 will now be available at $390. X25-E and X25-M which were of 32 GB and 160 GB capacities are now now available at $415 and $765 respectively. Many analysts see this price cut as Intel's strategy to become a pioneer in the field. Hard drives are still leading in the cost-per-GB factor.

ya, i was just customizing a dell xps laptop on their site and saw the option for solid state hard drives ... the laptops which provide 320gb hdd included in the base price are costing Rs.34,290.44 more if we opt for a 128gb solid state hard drive instead of the normal hdd ... why is it so costly? what are the main features of it? ...

Is there any benefit of going for a 32GB SSD for $415 (about Rs.20,000) when a 32 GB removable flash drive is available for around Rs.3,000-3,500?
