I got the registration key right after submiting the details.

After ignoring all the bad signs (high memory usage, windows crashing, BSOD), I installed Bit-Defender: Total Security. I even disabled my trusty Avast: Home Edition just for this. Now I am not able to boot into Windows XP.

Bitdefender free edition was my favorite once. In my opinion, no other antivirus is as good as Bitdefender in finding (finding not stopping) virus. But compared to most other antivirus software, it uses too much system resources.

  • Windows XP SP2, Vista, Windows 7
  • 800MHz processor

I tried all those options (safe mode, last known good configuration etc), but didn't work.

Even after re-installing XP system is still slow. So it could be a problem with the RAM or something.

^ I had the same problem a week ago.. The cause of it being different though.. I dont use UPS.. So Comp used to get frequently shutdown due to power failures..
And your right none of the options(safe mode,etc) work.. Reinstalled Xp and it's working fine now...

I didn't test it as I don't want to uninstall Kaspersky from my Computer but I got the Key in my e-mail. I'll test it on one of my friends Computer because he needs it..
