Sometime we may need to adjust the properties of the shortcuts for example when the original file the shortcut points has been changed to another location, or if you want to add some parameters to an application so that it performs some special task. Normally it is accessed by right clicking on the shortcut and then clicking on the properties button.

But in the case of windows 7 jump lists , the right click on the icon in taskbar will only bring up the windows 7 jump list, this may be annoying as you would have to create a new shortcut , modify it and then pin again. But actually there is indeed a simple way out. Right click on the pinned shortcut to open jump lists and then again right click on the application icon and then select properties. Voila, now you can access the shortcut’s properties.
