hmm ..
virtual memory doesnt seem to be a problem here
has to be a virus .. which antivirus are u using ????
Yes, that's a very good system, it shouldn't be hanging at all, let alone crashing. Sometimes things like this are viruses, sometimes they are registry?
Can you give me some more info, Windows version, and like sharks said, which anti-virus you are using?
It could be faulty hardware, too, like a bad psu or something? Best to check this out, soon, too, or you could lose a lot of data
Indy
it possible that you're infected
setup Kaspersky internet security 7 and scan all your Computer
good luck
Yeah it is good to check wether virus infected or not, if there are no virus infected so try observ that when the system hang? It is during you run certain program? Or After you on the system for along time?
I think it would be nice if you completely format your hard disk and then re-install new windows (I know this sounds like crazy thing but i think this is the best way to get your HDD working again as i think that there can be problem with your Hard Disk).
If you want to format do not forget to back up your data first. Before you format hard disk try to check the hardware first.
First you should backup your data and the second thing is to reload your windows and if you still get this problem then your harddisk has some problem and you can get it replaced from some Samsung Authorized service center.
if there is no virus infection then problem may be in ram if ur using branded pc then search for diagnostics tool in their website download and run, find where is the problem in ur com periparals also try RAM checking by replacing a new one.
I also faced this problem and i would recommend you to format your hard disk with Paragon Partition Magic and then reload the windows which i think should sove your problem.
