Well i would say that FireFox is better and since the date i had been using FireFox i have never ever used Internet Explorer and as of my personal view i would say that IE is the most crappy web browser till date.

I'm a FireFox fan. I only use FF and I even make it a point to spead the FF love to other people when I see them using IE.

The biggest difference between Fire Fox and Internet Explorer is that FF is a secured one as compared to Internet Explorer and more over it is faster as compared to IE.

FireFox
advantages: more ease of use features; more secure.
disadvantages: can be slow at times

Internet Explorer
advantages: fast
disadvantages: any day now we'll see yet another Microsoft vuln that affects IE; IE crashing can require a reboot

Opera
advantages: Fast and more secure.
disadvantages: Still has some misc. problems with javascript/java-enabled sites

and how about " safari browser " ( product from apple ). already have windows xp/vista version....

does anyone have experience ?

I agree with all of you. However, one of the biggest advantages of IE is that IE is the browser of choice amongst corporates and almost all web applications are written and tested for IE. There are a quite a few web applications as well as Enterprise Applications that do not work well (or at all) in other browsers.

I personally prefer internet explorer to ff for my general browsing, as i feel it is more faster and more easy to use (i belong to the older class of internet, LOL), but will sometimes feel frustrated with the fact that IE crashes very frequently too and no credibility is there. While i use Firefox mostly for secure browsing!

IE7 crashes sometimes but not very frequently. It has happened to me maybe one or two times a month. That is acceptable to me.

If it is crashing more often for you, try the following:

- try to upgrade to IE7, if you have not done already
- apply windows updates regularly
- turn off many "silly" browser helper objects (BHOs)
- even Google/Yahoo Tool bar is not required for IE7
