This application has been designed to speed up the internate connection. Google claims that it is optimized for broadband connections, but much for dialup users. The application smells the frequently visited pages and stores on google servers. Some pages might be prefetched onto your computer in the anticipation that you’ll visit them. Web data is compressed before it is sent to your computer.

The big question is does it work?

I had installed it last year but took it off within a day.. I dont know why but I just didint like it.

I really fail to see the point in the Google Accelerator. It has made absolutely no difference to the speed in which I browse the web. The ironic thing is that the Google Web Accelerator even tells you it isn't working with its little counter.

GWA is not good for broadband connections with datacaps. Because GWA has got this hobby of prefetching all the clickable links in a webpage.
