I got my Packard bell laptop m5265 in October 2003 . I have used it like one would use a normal pc for about a year when I even used to play age of empires online on my laptop. I have used it to run torrents night and day for at least 3 months and used my laptop for video editing cd burning and things like compressing huge 3-4 gb files using rmvb and that is a killed for even a big desktop computer those who know what it means to run a rmvb compression using 2 passes and running torrents along side and using it to watch a movie at the same time. Those of you who know how much processing power it takes to do all of the above tasks to be run at the same time must be wondering how a laptop managed to do it without blowing up or burning the processor well I don’t know and I didn’t do anything special to keep it cool either the little fan inside did it all. Yeh the air it blew from the back side was hot like a hair dryer but I continued to run it for 4 hours it was still running solid as ever didn’t turn itself off like other laptops would if put to such a test.

I did have a problem coz you cannot really except a donkey to run like a horse and if you hit a donkey too hard to make it run like a horse things are bound to go wrong and they did when I started using my lap top to play age of empires and the only problem was that the area near the power button gets really hot and the laptop shuts down due to over heating but that was last year when I used to play 3-4 hours every day but wait my Packard bell cannot be blamed for this its again a human error J I noticed I had not cleaned the air duct since I bought the laptop and I decided to open the back side to clear away the 2 years worth of dust stuck in every possible hole and there we go I used a vacuum cleaner to clear up the mess (don’t do it vacuum cleaners are not meant for cleaning laptops go to a professional) and after the cleaning session my laptop never had the problem again and I have never seen any noticeable heating which would worry me.

My Packard bell took approximately good two years of everyday beating till I got a new desktop with a d920 processor and 2gb ram to kick ass J .

I hardly use my laptop at home now and I only use it now for what a laptop is meant to be used for and I am more then happy with its performance.

But wait I completely forgot to talk about one thing I don’t like about my laptop and that is the battery, it runs my laptop for a little over two and a half hours when I use it outdoors mainly for working off line and just typing away new articles for my blogs. I don’t know how long other laptop batteries last or so I am not sure where Packard bell easy note m5265 stands in that respect. The only other laptop I have used before is a Toshiba and it was a piece of **** and I wouldn’t waste my time writing about so just take it as I would never buy a Toshiba again L .

Packard bell all the way…. Go Packard go keep doing the good work and.

Holy *uck I forgot to tell you the configuration of my laptop >> 2.66Ghz Pentium processor and 512 ram and it has a dvd burner inbuilt with a 1394 port and a data card slot and has a multimedia card slot as well and you can use a few different sizes in there. It has 6 usb ports and a 100mbps port and has a dial up modem inbuilt. There are a lot of other things besides the ones I mentioned check out their official website for more information.

I would recommend buying a Packard bell and I would but another Packard bell when this one dies which doesn’t seem likely right now HOLD ON I forgot to tell you that not even a single key is broken and I am a very heavy user of the keyboard I am not one of those who turn the computer on and give the mouse a few clicks and turn it off so these keys have been thorough really bad torture and they are as young as they were 3 ears ago and I honestly don’t feel the need of a new laptop till now.
