Thread: Latest USB 3.0

The lates USB 3.0 will transfer data at speeds up to 4.8Gbits a second which is ten times faster than USB 2. USB 3 ports and cabling will be designed with both copper and optical cable capabilities, meaning even higher speeds will be possible in the future.

But is it still compatible with the 2.0, or can the existing 2.0 users convert to it using any tools, etc. or is it still in starting stage? I feel that usb 2.0 itself is of good speed without any issues or slowness!

Yes it is. It is backward compatible with not only USB 2.0 but with USB 1.1 as well. Just that you will get slower speeds, that's all.

This is something really good does any one know that when this would be launched in Indian Market.

This is the latest technology and i am sure that it would take some time before it comes to india and another is that it would be expensive in the begining.
