Default How to hide my computer at network neighborhood

I want to hide my computer from the network, i.e. from network neighborhood. I want to know how to do it. I have been trying various tips and tricks to do it but nothing worked. Is there an easy and best way to do it so that it will not appear permanently even after i get some days and should not not be caught by the adminstrators (at least for some days).

Well if you would disable you computer from network then your computer would be disconnected from network. So i dont think that there is any point to do this.

    Open registry and navigate to

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\lanmanserver\parameters]

now create a new dword value, name it "hidden" and give it a value if 1.

    restart.
