Thread: Solution for this error message in windows xp

I am using windows xp and in the recent past two days, i have been getting the following error message "SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\VirtualDeviceDri vers. VDD. Virtual Device Driver format in the registry is invalid. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application." and i tried visiting microsoft site and various other sites to look for answer but unable to rectify it. this error message will come only when i boot the system!
