Not all video sites. But as a plain Download Manager its the best there is.
I have tried.
Orbit Downloader
Gozilla
(old version),
Download Accelerator Plus
(free version),
Free Download Manager
Flash get

And Orbit Downloader is the best.

Hi all,

I totally agree on the what StarryKnight mentioned above.

At the same time, I disagree on the following too.

Not true at all. Have you heard of parallel multi-threading. This is exactly what download managers do.

Your ISP may be allowing 2 mbps (256 KB/s) but the source server could be far off and busier than usual resulting in a serial speed of 60 KB/s. By opening multiple connections @ 60 KB/s, the download manager optimizes the connection and downloads the file faster. I have seen this happening.
Technically no one can pull the extra bandwidth from the ISP.

Kind regards,
Pothi Kalimuthu.

I never indicated that you will get more speed than allowed by ISP. I said that you will get the most of the bandwidth and speeds may match the actual bandwidth speed.

I prefer IDM(Internet Download Manager) full version cuz its simple and effective..... for me dap is not getting integrated with firefox 3.0.3 but IDM works like a charm....
