Default How to access blocked pages?

In my office, they have blocked all the sites except google for reference. I want to know how i can unblock or visit sites of my choice from my end by tweaking it from my computer. Is there any shortcut or method to bypass that block and start browsing again? I have searched it a lot and none of the methods work!

I am afraid that you cannot do anything about it. At your office, there must be a proxy server. On the proxy server, content filtering/blocking software such as WebSense, etc. is implemented. At my office also we have Websense that blocks:

    - all entertainment sites - movies, games, media, etc. and of course porn
    - all blogs, chats, etc.
    - all kinds of messengers except MS Office Communicator
    - all 3rd party mail sites such as Yahoo, Gmail, etc.
    - all internet downloads, except PDF
    - mp3/rm files creation, playing, copying, etc. (via McAfee)

Fortunately, as yet, forums are not banned, though some are (based on content).

I at least have admin rights on my laptop, others don't even get that on their desktops.

Haven't you seen my reply? You can't do anything from your side.

    hi guys,
In my office websense is taking care of those things,

yahoo, gmail, chats, blogs, chats all are categorised and blocked accordingly,

my way of browsing even the blocked page is by the help of google's cached pages ,
and very well websense is allowing the https protocol in our office, and so i'm chatting in gmail through the https protocol,
