Thread: microsft registry checker works on its own!!

i am using windows 98 se

in the shut down option there's no
option for stand by!......
it happened in this month only.......

also I am using registry mechanic 7.0

there's an option called system optimizer.........when u click it
ur pc restarts and microsoft registry checker checks and rebuilds ur registry
before windows loads......

once while restarting my pc hanged.........when i pressed ctrl+alt+del
it restarted and the microsoft registry checker came up and worked normally
and then windows loaded........but the problem is everytime I boot up my pc

microsoft registry checker works before windows is loaded and rebuilds the registry everytime........it consumes about 20 minutes.........and what the hell
wud i do rebuilding my registry everytime i boot up..........i unchecked
the tab in msconfig next to registry checker........but still it happens.......

can anyone tell me how to stop it.......plz help

try to uninistall registry mechanic and then see whether it solves your problem or not
