Default Prices as compared to US, Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Mainland China

Prices as compared to US, Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Mainland China

I do a bit of traveling for work and personal reason. I am currently in the US for work and would be getting back soon.

I was looking at some networking products, routers, switches etc here.

Is there any "EASY" way to get prices of the items in India? So, I can avoid getting items that may have same / similar price and save it for other items.

Preferably an online site with updated prices or a DEALER / distributor. that responds to the price request FAST by email.

Also, according to your EXPERIENCE which location has the cheapest prices for computing equipment / gadgets... I know US is way cheaper. But I am open to other insights.

    Do let me know.

    Thanks.

Try ebay.in for prices in India or just get a telephone number of some big dealer at Nehru place at Newdelhi and get the prices over the phone from them.

    I looked at Ebay.in

Is that the only good benchmark? Are those realistic prices?

Yes. 99% - these are realistic prices; else no one will buy from eBay. The disadvantage of eBay is that you have to pay for shipping (especially when out of city).

Thats suprising. Since, Ebay has become the cheapest form of purchase (including shipping) in the USA.

I am wondering why / what is needed in India to create that kind of a market?

Maybe free shipping will also come with time. These are still early days for online buying in India. People are quite skeptical and hence not many purchase online. Because the volumes are not there, it is difficult to give free shipping. In US (and the west), online purchasing is almost the given thing.
