Rep Power: 10 | Vbulletin is a lot better script as compared to all the others available be it paid or free like phpbb, phpbb2, wowbb, vanila board, punbb and Invision power board but nothing comes even anywhere close to vbulletin. There are a number of reasons and the most prominent factor is ease of use.. vb is very very user friendly be it administering it or using it as a member besides that vb is a paid script and security patches are released from time to time which makes it more secure. Vbulletin also has a few out of the box seo products which are very easy to use and add great seo value to the sitye where you use a vb forum and vbseo being the best one out of those. zoints are developing their own stuff but it is still in developing stages. If you dont load a vbulletin with too many mods then it will also be less resource intensive as compared to other scripts. |

Rep Power: 5 | I was doing a search yesterday (while admin was replying). What admin is saying, is repeatedly said by many others. While it is true that phpBB is free, vBulletin is more secure and less troublesome, is an opinion shared by many. |

| Bronze Member | SMF is the easiest one to manage/learn. For users as well as for admin/moderators. However it lacks many futures. As the name suggests it is a 'simple' forum. ~ Pothi |

Rep Power: 10 | SMF may be easier to manage/learn or whatever... but unfortunately its also easiest to hack I have worked on a SMF seo mod for about a year and then gave up coz of some fundamental issues with that script. Vbulletin rocks |
