Stupid Yahoo! Messenger
Apparently, you can no longer transfer files on the latest version of Yahoo! Messenger unless both the parties are using the latest version. I had to login to Gaim to transfer the file I wanted to send to a friend. Is this weird or what!
More on Yahoo! Messenger:
Yahoo! Messenger is a popular instant messaging client and protocol provided by Yahoo!. Yahoo! Messenger is provided free of charge and can be downloaded and used with a generic “Yahoo! ID” which also allows access to other Yahoo! services, such as Yahoo! Mail, where users can be automatically notified when they receive new email. Yahoo instant messenger also includes a security feature which allows the user to be “invisible” to whoever they choose.
In addition to instant messaging features similar to those offered by ICQ and AOL Instant Messenger, it also offers some unique features such as: IMVironments (customizing the look of Instant Message windows) and Custom Status Messages. Another recently added feature is customized avatars.

Yahoo is seriously beggining to piss me off lately..Some of its worst points include..
1.Too many plug ins..they might be useful to some but in the greed of value addition services yahoo is forgetting that the simplicity of the messenger made it famous
2.Dynamic Link Opening..--I do face a lot of problems opening dynamic links
3.Too Slow--group messages often arrive 5-10 mins after being sent
4.Winamp and Wmp plugins not working.!!

Did you try the new yahoo web messenger? You don't need to down load anything. It opens in a browser. You can not talk though. Only chatting is allowed.

Yeah, Itried the web messenger, suvi. It's really cool, but a bit slow to start up, especially on slow wifi! It's handy not to have to install AIM every time in an internet club or cafe, or whatever. Really handy also when I'm at a friend's house.
Just open up Firefox and there you go

Well if you would like to send file then i think you should email the file to him as it is the best and the most secure way to send a file as earlier i also sent files through yahoo messenger but majority of the times transfer interrupted in between.
