it is piracy, no genuine non-opensource software allows reverse eng. or unauthorised tampering.

@logic,last time i heard indiatimes online shopping site was selling genuine kaspersky 7 keys for Rs.1000 which is very cheap comaperd to what they charge in $ abroad.

@Evander_Leopold,even if your computer is totally infected corrupting all .exe files you can easily boot computer using a Live Linux CD like Knoppix & can easily transfer/copy your important data to external HDD.

currently kaspersky price (for one year) is lower than 700/-
three license for 900/- , i last checked a month ago at chandni chowk (kolkata)

secondly, i know nothing about linux. but since u say so, i am going to check on it.

U can get them as low as Rs. 450/yr.. thought the lowest online prices i hav seen is Rs. 600/yr

i am using KIS from 2 & half years........initially i used the pirated keys.......but now....i found some windows registry tweaks......& i reset the 30 days trial version after ever 30 days.......& keep using........i use 7.0.0.125

PS : dont call it piracy......coz i can do whtever changes i wany in meh genuine windows....
