| Gold Member | Even paid stuffs can't claim 100% security . Among free stuffs I vote for Avira. Avast second and AVG third |

Rep Power: 2 | Hi there, for using computers for last 14 years, I've found virus really ennoying thing if they gets in. I'd better prevent them, & for doing that, I don't need to spend money. New version of Avast! Home, which comes with AntiSpyware too will do the job. Also, keep the specialist running as Spybot S&D with TeaTimer (on-access scanner) running. Also, give a try to use a good Firewall too, as major part of your malware activities can be detected through firewall. Try, Comodo Internet Security (Free) without Antivirus, just install the firewall as it's AV is still in growing stage. For alternatives, try Ad-Aware latest version (without On-Access scanner) for on-demand scaning. Firewall..., try PC-Tools Firewall Free Edition, it's good too. And if you're looking for paid solution, then look no further than Symantec's latest Norton AntiVirus 2009 with AntiSpyware buid in. It's far more lighter than it's previous versions & does it's job brilliantly. Even default settings are such good that user just needs to bother about installing only . Hope this will do, CHEERS! |
