Default Which anti-virus software do you like the most

    ...and why?

If you have more than one installed on the same instance of OS, have you found any compatibility issues?

Is the anti-virus software you like the most free?

I use avira antivir security suite (bcoz it has best virus detection rates & doesnt hog memory, see av-comparitives.org)

A free version of avira antivir is available @ free-av.com

There should be compatibility issuses with multiple antiviruses on same operating systems bcoz both try to interfere & block each other (My os crashed when i tried to install mcafee while avira antivir was already present)

does ur system not slowdown bcoz norton is hungry for system resources & on top of that u use avg & avast ?

No man u got me wrong, I don't use them regularly.... I would go mad. I install avast and avg periodically only to scan the system and then i uninstall it.

I'm currently using NAV 09 which's really great, in properly utilizing resouces. U must have come accross the reviews on net for NAV 09.

Before when i was using NAV 08 and had only 512 Mb ram , it was a lil slow, but then i had no issues...

I have been using AVG free for the last three years without facing any problem. The new version i.e. AVG 8.0 is very effective with lots of features (including antispyware, email scanner, link scanner apart from antivirus). Infact, it is just like a security suite which is absolutely free of charge). It is also very light on system and regularly updated.

ESET or norton for any of the 2009 releases, undoubtedly the best releases this year, Kaspersky didn't live upto the expectations in my book
