Try using Tuneup utilities, it has an option called Disc Doctor under Solve Problems.

This is a trial version. For now you can use this and fix your problem. You can find a key later if you wish to use it further.

Please try the tuneup utilities. It is the best software available for fixing file system errors. It is quite safe. I have fixed similar problems using it. There is another option called 1 Click maintenance. That to is too good for system health and performance. This kind of problem may be due to a corrupted file system.

It is much better than windows utilities. If you are concerned , take a back up of your data in D drive.

You can also try system restore.

Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System restore

Restore to a point before which this error started to happen.

If all these fails, move your files to another drive and format D.

Move your files to another drive,

My computer > Select D drive > Right Click > Format

This should solve your problem. If not, please update here.

try this command
CHKDISK D: /F /R

/F - Fixes errors on the disk
/R - locate bad sectors and recovers readable information

If you want to exclude the drive from scanning during bootup, try
chkntfs D: /x

Disconnect internet, restart the system and then try format. It worked for me when I formatted my I drive. It was showing a similar complaint.
