    Question Best firewall

    hi guys
    actually i have to install a firewall in my system so will u plz tell me that which is the best firewall to install in my system.

    You can use either Comodo or Zonealarm. I have used both. Currently using Zonealarm.

    ZoneAlarm is good dude...... If you are ready to shell out some money then Outpost is the best......

    Sygate personal firewall (though it wil not be updated any more since it was bought by Symantec) or Comodo... look no further.

    I used to have sygate in my system. I was having problem in uploading photos and registering in sites. Had to uninstall.

    can you plz elborate? i have been using sygate for 3 years now and no problems whatsoever.

    I was not able to upload data and file. I had problem uploading photos to this forum and tinypic. Also had problems while registering, was not able to register in a no of sites. I used it only for 1 day. There is a thread in this forum as I was confused.later found out my sygate firewall is causing the problem.

    thats just strange... well you can't guarantee flawless operation on every comp for a sw. maybe it was having some conflicts with some other app installed...maybe something else.

    May be. Never found out the reason. You never experienced similar issues, I presume.

    For participants,

    If you are not satisfied with all 3, try Ashampoo Firewall. I feel first two will be a better choice.

    I have sygate for more than 4 years. never felt the need for anything else. but it is not compatible with Vista.
