    Are you facing that problem? If so please mention. We can find ways to fix it.

    First, update your antivirus and run a full system scan. I did provide a link called Top 7 Tips to Protect Your Computer. You will find all the tools you need. Download CA Yahoo Antispy, update and run a scan. Nowadays, it is difficult to manage with just an antivirus.

    I think you will have to do some changes in the registry settings. Not sure how to do it. First download a good registry cleaner to clear unwnted registry entries.

    you may try this link: h t t p://ask-leo.com/why_is_my_task_manager_disabled_and_how_do_i_fix_i t.html

    I think he is just checking the possibility.

    Tuneup utilities (30 day trial)

    and

    Task manager Free (Free) can effectively serve the purpose.

    I haven't used my task manager for a very long time.

    will this work if task manager is intentionally disabled, for example through group policy editor or by admin using 3rd party tools ?

    @newprouser
    No harm in downloading and trying it.
    barely 5 KB application.

    Did not want to give an application
    which modifies the registry directly.

    feedback.

    Download 'Combofix' from bleepingcomputerdotcom, disable your antivirus and run the tool. It would fix every little problem of your machine.
