| I use AVG 8 with internet security which includes, spywares, malwares, key loggers etc... when it come is spywares not virus then try out some online scans from repute companies, as they will be having their DB updated it will be good to you that even the most recent spyware also will be detected. (Better have one installed on system too). Spybot, System Mechanic, or any other from symantec etc... |

| Yes that is correct, but the speed of the servers are far more better than the speed we get here. It works like this, Server -- > Servers ISP -- > Our ISP --> US. The speed between ISP's will be very fast so the distance doesnt matter here, they will be having the speed of GB/s so when we request the file, the speed of our line will be assessed by ISP and according to that on real time bases the file will be requested to the server. So the distance actually does not matter. The distance which matters us is the distance from the exchange to our home, if that distance is more than 2 KM then the speed will be affected. Ex: you have 2 Mbps plan if the exchange is far then at your end the speed wll be aound 1.6 - 1.7 Mbps. Only this will affect us nothing else. |

| I am using Adaware + Spybot. Spybot alone seems not efficient enough. When I had only Spybot, it did miss a few infection which I later identified. I use Spybot because of its protect key registry entries feature. But whatever we use, there is a risk of infection. |

Rep Power: 2 | i use ESET SMART SECURITY actually it is total security only not spyware. No slow down your system, it consume RAM(your memory) less than AVG's any product & detection rate is much more than higher from AVG (almost 100% detection). It's plus point that it's totally automatic, no headache like than others..... |

Rep Power: 1 | Dont ever worry about Spwyware Install Zone Alarm Firewall it will catch all the applications that connects to Internet ands seeks your permision to allow / deny. So even the Spyware is installed, you need not worry it cant be active in your system. |

| It is myth. I had to monitor my svchost as my system has some infection. It can still access net if I allow svchost.exe in Zonealarm. Firewall is no 100% protection. |
