I am currently using AVG Anti Virus (Free Edition)..

Is it good OR I should buy a licensed Antivirus?

AVG is good. Not the best. Avira and Avast has better reviews. I use Avira Free, it works well.

I wont say AVG is good but its decent. You can use it, no problem, but if you want something secure, go check out paid versions of different AV's available.

It is wise to use a free antivirus. Reporting of new threats is better. After Google, free means best.

It is good. I have Avast in my Windows 7 and Avira in XP. I prefer Avira, But Avast has more features like webguard and network shield which Avira lacks.

I am not arguing, I have scarcely formatted my system after I switch to Avira. I use it with Adaware Anniversary edition and Zone alarm free.

I wouldn't recommend AVG coz of its falling standards, somtime back, it even started flagging System files as viruses. and that month, it had 3 diffirent problems.

I had AVG free antivirus installed at first but used to format the OS every month because of virus problems. Back then I didn't know any other Antivirus besides. AVG free version is more of a virus magnet than an antivirus.

I never faced any virus problems after installing Avast Free Edition. It will remove detect and remove almost all viruses before it could cause any problems. You won't even need to scan the system every week. You can also optimize it's memory usage by disabling unneeded features and skins. Network Shield, Standard Shield and Web Shield covers it all.

Arey, baba, no need to register click on the software link, it not only allows you to download new versions but as well as old and stable versions also. Registration, is only optional.
