Avira = lots of false positive. Just to tell you that your computer was severely infected.

Bitdefender = Useless. Takes one or more hour to install. go to CNET and don't just read the review given by editor but read the comments of customers too.

AVG = Good one but false positive is a problem.

Norton IS = Very good. But don't let you do anything. Control everything on its own.

Avast = Very good one. But can not access password protected archives.

Quick Heal =good one. with lack of features.

ESET Smart Security = best. Just set firewall to interactive mode and let it do its work.

Panda IS = very good. slows down computer.

I go with NIS and ESET Smart Security.

lol Bitdefender does not take 1 hour to install. I had just recently installed it when I had changed my OS. It takes longer because it scans the system before installation so it would be installed in a clean environment. It would take more time only if you update it during installation and have a slow internet connection. I have used Bitdefender Internet Security and Bitdefender Total Security. The third version Bitdefender Antivirus doesn't protect from internet attacks I guess so it would not be an ideal AV and Total Security protects too much IMO. The Bitdefender Internet Security is the best with so many customizations and also the best protection. I have been using it since 2 years and I do a lot of stuff on my computer so I know. I had tried Norton but it sucks unless you keep it completely turned off and only use it for scanning your pc whenever you need. I used to consider Avast as a very good AV but its not even worth paying for. I always kept it on but yet though I didn't do anything new on my pc and always did full scans, my explorer got corrupted somehow so its just not powerful enough. If you do online banking of any kind I strongly advice you to not use this AV software. AVG is good enough but has very few options. Once you get to know all the features of Bitdefender Internet Security, its the best whatever you may do on your PC.
