Thread: account hacked

My Gmail account got hacked yesterday , and when I tried password recovery option , it didnt help me . Any suggestions? Should i go and register a police complaint? Do the police look into such cyber crimes?

Yes.... if you have no other means, you can approach the cyber cell..... They will look into it....

No. Police will not bother and not their job.
you should try again the procedure outlined here.
Only Google can retrieve your acct.
Explain at which step you got stuck ?

As essbebe said Police has lot many other jobs to do here..

Better ask gmail help desk(But i am not sure if they can, for you because you maybe a free user i guess)to do something for that. So they will check the i.p and suspend the account and may revalidate for you.. But this is not going to help. Have you register your email id with the gmail phone number validation system??

I told it by experience friends...
My friend's orkut got hacked and he complained the cyber cell....
They deleted the account for him....

If you can't recover the password, I don't think google can be much helpful...
