    Default Windows defender vs Avast!

I downloaded a software (its a CRACK) and installed it on my system but when I try to run it, my windows defender recognizes some trojan file in the software and advises me to discontinue and then automatically proceeds to purge that file out of the system which renders my software obsolete. I have Avast pro installed on my computer which doesn't recognize any trojan. I was a little apprehensive whether to allow that software as "exception" to the windows defender firewall or not, so I uploaded the whole software on virustotal for a full online scan and interestingly all the well known antivrus programs out there like AVG, Comodo, Kaspersky, Avast etc found it clean but most of the obscure antivirus programs found a trojan!

Kindly help as to what to do in this situation. Should I un-install the software or mark it as an exception to the firewall? I am well aware that most cracked softwares does pose a trojan threat, but I am still confused with this contradictory results of the scan and my Windown defender functioning.

can you please tell the name of the software for more help on this issue??

btw, if one anti-virus marks it as a trojan so you must uninstall it quickly.. because sometimes even well known antivir programs are not up to date with their definitions..

No need to disable the resident of windows defender as they don't clash. When we mention not having two resident applications it is by type anti-virus 1 of, anti-spyware 1 of. If you had other antivirus/spyware applications they should be on-demand only.

Avast is best when you compare it with windows defender.
Avast is better and provide more protection and services than Defender.

Avast is an antivirus program and Windows Defender is an anti-spyware program. Viruses and spyware are two different kind of malware. Avast is best as compare to windows defender. Avast has provide more protection and services.
