Default What are the most common spams you receive in your emails?

I am just curious if people receives the same kind of spams I am receiving with my email spam inbox. I usually receive emails that congratulates me for winning something. I find them very fishy so I never clicked them. There are also those emails with pornographic titles, I also never clicked them because I heard them have thumbnails. The most dangerous spam email I ever received is a fake email from "paypal" this fake emails says that my account is banned and I need to fill my password and username in the click they provided so it will be restored. I am able to dodge that bullet after realizing the email it came from is from a Yahoo email.

What are the usuals spams your receive?

Let me tell you buddy that you are not alone. Nearly everyone receives such types of e-mails and scams but you must take preventive measure to stay away from them as the will try every possible way to get hold off you. Most of the spam mails I receive is regarding earn money and blah blah next is regarding adult content and other categories of messages I receive is regarding fake scholarship events. If I were you I would definitely unsubscribe from their mail listings and if I'm not able to unsubscribe then I would put their mail address to Block-list or under unsubscribe label so that they would not bother me in near future. I hope you get the picture, feel free to ask anything.

The worst kind of Spam message that I received recently was from the Reserve Bank of India. I mean seriously, who the hell on earth can use RBIs name for spamming? It claimed that I will be getting some 3 crore rupee and I need to register my phone number, address, bank details and stuff. People, beware of such emails. They are only meant to cheat you. They just aim at getting your bank details and will steal away your hard earned money!

I get a lot of spam mails and the most active one is from a Nigerian guy who is ready to part his enormous wealth with me. He is facing some legal issues to transfer funds to India. So, if I can help him by sending some money, he will be able to get through those bottlenecks and he will give me some crores of rupees to me in return. I get this mail daily from him.

Another one is from a recruiting agency in the name of Indian Oil Corporation who is ready to give me a good well paid job in IOC just by giving a payment of Rs.50,000 (approx $833). We can easily deduce the intention as there is no interview or anything like that. Just pay the money and join duty!

I wonder how people can become prey to such stupid mails. I think only a newbie to Internet could become a victim of such fake mails.

The main Spam that I get are always about easy money or promotions that I never participated. It's always like a fairy tale.
The problem is that many lay people are deceived.

In my country, I get "spamming" via phone. Bandits arrested in prisons usually call for people to say "You won the cultural contest to receive your prize you will have to deposit an X amount of any account." Here there is everything.

Nowadays there is an option in Gmail wherein you can block mail from a particular mail ID. The mail once blocked will automatically go to spam folder and will be deleted after some days. So, once a mail ID categorized as spam, you don't have to worry about it further. It is a new feature which has been activated by Google a few months back.

Spam mails have always been a headache for me too. I don't know from where they are getting my email IDs. I read somewhere that even companies like Google and Facebook share our personal details with others. May be that is the reason behind this.

Usually the sites we registered in the past really haunts us back later.I use to do those Pay to click sites and I think they were the ones that sold my email address as leads for spammers. Those promos that asks as for our email addresses and phone numbers also sells our information as leads too. We really have to careful on sharing out personal information.
