    i have been noticing some strange behaviours in gmail for some time. it is opening up for me but is taking lot of time to respond to clicks on inbox, spam etc etc. also the search function is not responding instantly.

    Which is the ISP? Tata Indicom, right?

    Damn !! Still not opening up for me

    It is working for Airtel and Indicom subscribers though !

    Ok. just to inform - this is not a problem with all bsnl subscribers. i just now received mails from one of friends who is a BSNL subscriber

    Yes. Now i understood. The problem is with specific accounts only. I am able to login to my alternate email ids, but the primary email id just started working now..

    Had tried it earlier. Back then it was opening up to me only on m.gmail.com !!

    here is one alternative for firefox users

    Add the add-on USER AGENT SWITCHER from here
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/59
    then go to
    tools>user agent switcher>options
    select "user agent" in left pane
    click "Add"
    indicate the following particulars
    Description "iPhone"
    user agent "Mobile Safari 1.1.3"
    App Name "AppleWebKit/420+"
    App Version "Version/3.0"
    Platform "Mobile/1A542a Safari/419.3"

    restart firefox
    select iPhone agent from>
    tools>user agent switcher>iPhone

    now type this in the address bar
    "http://mail.google.com/mail/x/gdlakb-/gp/"
    what u would get is the iPhone optimised version of GMail

    i didnt get any of those problems.
    i guess it must be with the ISP that u r working on
