as you can see some are back door trojans, malwares etc.. they all come obviously from internet, the way of coming may be some by hiding in some other programs like you download XYZ software and a trojan hides there when you install XYZ it also installs and you will not know it.
Some come by installing some bad Active X controls, some by mail ... there are many ways from where a virus or trojan can come to you..

The main highway for them is INTERNET

    Thanks for the rep.

Any reputed antivirus is good for these but you have to update it regularly that is the main thing which will protect you.

I use AVG 8 with internet security.

I think you should consider a format. Some virus do not enter themselves. Your computer might have a dropper which downloads virus into your system. Even if you format C, it can be present in any of the drives. Try a system restore.

I use Avira + Adaware + Spybot + Ca Yahoo Antispy.

I wish you went through the links I gave

Run a scan and see. Preferably a scan with Malwarebytes will do.

You can fix it. But it is better to reinstall Windows than taking that hardship which may or may not remove all infections.

IF sudden, try a SYSTEM RESTORE.
Do you get the error in SAFE mode ?
Any Printer or scanner used /?

Error messages when you start a Windows XP-based computer and then try to download Windows Updates

    Uninstall applications recently downloaded.

    Confirm XP SP3 updated.
sfc /scannow ( if you have installation CD)
