GO is the new proposal from Google to expand into another field that they want to take away Microsoft: Programming languages. GO is the programming language from Google and among its most important features is the fact of being open source, unlike the languages from Microsoft.
GO comes from the fusion of several families of languages, including the famous C-language and incorporates elements of Python (remember that's Google preferred language, also the creator of this language works there) and the family of Pascal / Modula / Oberon and other dynamic programs.
Since it's been 10 years somebody created a major new programming language, Google believes it is time to take the leap because, as they themselves said in a conference presentation, the world of web and computers has changed dramatically in these years, but the programming language have not kept pace.
Google not only aims to design a programming language that is quite efficient but wish that this language is massively used by thousands of developers in creating web application and software worldwide.
And if you belong to the developer community and do not want to waste more time, then you can start by reviewing the tutorial that have been prepared on the official website:and installation manual. Also check the official link of the GO page.golang.org/doc/go_tutorial.html
