There are some nexus that works in stealing laptops and selling them to people who wish to buy second hand laptops. There has been increasing case of such kind in the last few years where many people lost their laptops while traveling, in office or in public transport. If you too feel that your laptop is vulnerable to some kind of theft, you need to protect it from theft or loss. How to do that? It is very easy to do that. You can easily protect your laptop and trace it if it is stolen.

A few days ago we discussed how to locate your mobile phone when lost with the help of software. Today we will discuss how to locate your stolen laptop or PC with the help of software. It is very much easy to make your laptop protected from theft. You would need to download the locate PC software on your computer which is 100% free from reliable sites and let it connect to internet. This works similarly on how the lost mobile phone software would work. Once when the stolen laptop is connected to internet it sends you and SMS or email to the original owner about the location or IP.

But it is very difficult to get the laptop traced if the thief formats the computer or delete everything installed on the PC or if the PC is never connected to Internet. This will not enable the software to send the email or SMS alert to the owner of the laptop. However if the thief has no such idea and connects it to the internet, the software sends an email with some proofs of the user that makes things easier for enforcement agencies to track it down and get your laptop back from the mischievous person.

The software that is used in the Laptop to recover it from thieves has the following features:
> It runs well in the Windows Vista/Me/XP/98 and similar OP system.
> You have to create POP email account for the locate PC software so that it can send you an email. The account works with AOL, Bluetooth, GAWAB and other such features. The LocatePC is logged into the PC and can be connected to the internet for update.

This is good software, only if the theif is enough dumb of not formatting the computer.
