The chip containing the central processing unit is where the computer does the data processing. As soon as the CPU receives the instruction from the user, it starts processing the information in the computer’s memory. The CPU contains couple of things like a program counter which indicates the CPU as to its positioning in the program, there is an instruction register where the current instruction programs are stored, there is a control unit where the contents of the instruction register are decoded, there are data registers which help the small units of information which the CPU is currently processing. CPU is equipped with memory address registers which stores the memory location of the information in its data registers.

Again something very but informative to some new computers people, which I think always helps as it provides information about a computer and its parts through a simpler way.
