Hyper Text Markup Language is used to display the document required by the user, irrespective of the geographical location of the document. HTML can be used on any platform or desktop as it’s a dynamic language. It is a platform independent language and therefore it shows the way in which the document is to be read by the interpreter. When some element is specified, HTML elements mark up the document and inform the browser about the action required.

The look and appearance of the web document is of utmost importance, one can use variety of tools and utilities like graphics, color scheme, font type and size, to enhance the look of the webpage.
Its important to learn HTML correctly to know what is what and how to work things, otherwise you will quite end up like me starting something and not being able to finish of the write way.
