Not a silly question.
But unless the HDD has a built in driver for bluetooth, I can't see this happening. At present, I am not aware of any HDD that is bluetooth enabled.
And this is rightly so. Bluetooth is a method of serial communication and painfully slow. To copy a file, it will take large time. Bluetooth is alright for small files, photos (small size), v-cards, etc.

as J4k said, its going to be far far far toooo slow. A better option would be Wifi enabled HDDs (just kidding)
Go to Google and search "Hard disk with bluetooth" after press enter....No result found...![]()
^Wifi is a cheaper technology than Bluetooth![]()
that will be too slow method of sharing...
i dont know how speedy will that be to transport data via bluetooth..
but this possiblity is credential.
same happens with a nokia phone attached to the computer using nokia suite.. there must be appropriate software for that... and its possible..
wifi would be a better safe and faster version of wiresless data sharing..
Site from home gaya bhad mein... AIrtel se bolo FUP band kare.. BSNl se bolo 3G signal do!!!!>: (
without considering speed issues, Is it possible to make WIFI or Bluetooth HDD at home?
At home? Definitely not.
And I doubt if anyone will make Blue tooth HDD, commercially, that is.
BTW. Many people must have seen the ad about LG Scarlet TV with bluetooth. The ad shows that the girl clicks to send her photo from her phone(?) to the TV and it appears on the TV instantly later. Well .... Good luck with that.
At present there is IT market no bluetooth technology supporting or HDD.
