    Default Registry cleaners?

I have seen two sections of people:
One who say that these optimization utilities have really speedup up their sluggish system while others say that rather than speeding up it has caused havoc in their pc.
    Are these utilities really effective?
Personally I have never felt any improvement in my system nor have they caused any troubles. I use CCleaner and Glary Utilities once a month.
What are your thoughts and your experience?

    I use CleanMyPC.

Registry cleaners cannot speed up the system drastically but some improvements will happen.

I never had any crashes or other untoward incidents after using the cleaner s/w.

I don't think that speed up PC tools exactly increase the speed to a notable limit. But they do provide a no. of function. I too used to have CCleaner. But I am leaving all optimizations to TuneUp " 1 click maintenance ". CCleaner is a good tool if you take back up before cleaning. It is better to use a tweaking software. If you use an established one, there will be no side effects.

Using tune up utilities 2010. The registry cleaning really help the PC to perform/run faster because all registry items are not automatically deleted when the program is uninstalled, and that junk is removed by these programs.

Registry Cleaners may remove the junk and temporary files left on your Hard Drive. Hence, they optimize the Computer a bit. However, they don't really speed up your Computers drastically. I use Uniblue Registry Booster for that purpose but rarely.

The one Software which really helps to maintain the speed of the PC is Diskeeper. It's purpose is to defragment the Hard Drive automatically whenever the Computer is left idle.

The WinPatrol Software can be used to block or delay the Startup Programs. It helps to reduce the boot time.
