Which is the Best?Laptop or Desktop if there is electricity problem?
Laptop is portable,so laptop wins
Due to 3~4 battery power charging it again and again is a problem,so desktop wins
As there is electricity problem, laptop can run without electicity being portable,Laptop wins
Laptop components are not upgradable so desktop wins
I don't have huge space for a Giant Box so i prefer laptop
Due to games and music i prefer desktop,i arrange my self a generator if electricity problem is there
Both are useless for gaming,ps3 or psp supports high end gaming
Laptops have 9 cell battery too so no problem of charging~discharging
Due to high definition lcd display and great components such as upto 16Gb ram and 1TB hard disk,i prefer desktop
Desktop is the ultimate winner:Specify reason please

I think laptop is best. The extra space also comes with one more big benefit that you don't often find with a laptop - the ability to easily upgrade. The one audacious advantage a laptop computer holds over its desktop adverse allotment is portability.
In my opinion, the laptop is best. Laptops accept really basic part of industry computer industry. A laptop computer account is a good market. Some of the best account of laptops they cover those of Dell, HP and Toshiba.
Desktop (or deskside) always, unless portability is absolutely required. Why?
--- you will get much more for your money
--- it will last longer and be easy to expand, upgrade or repair
--- no single point of failure, eg failed display means no computer
Desktop (or deskside) with a UPS. You'll need to power you modem/router anyway, so, while the laptop battery is a sort of UPS for the laptop, it won't power anything else.... if there is electricity problem?
Exceptions:
--- If you have a lot of long power cuts daily, the combination of laptop and UPS will keep you going a lot longer than a desktop on the same UPS.
--- If it's a "lifestyle" decision. People think that laptops are pretty, and groovy, and fashionable, and look better, and all that. If you have a room full of expensive, modern furniture, you'll quite likely want a laptop (probably a MAC). I'm not mocking! It isn't my priority, but it is for some, and others have family input too. All of us like to buy stuff that looks good!
Notebook is convenient addition-
apart from work when you travel,at home also you can sit any where you want -sofa,bed, balcony etc
If you are in to seroius work needing minimum 2 or 4 monitors .....![]()
It's true that "portability" can mean just around the house, or even around the room...you can sit any where you want -sofa,bed, balcony etc

Hi all
Well both have their importance and best at their places see if you need to work alto and want to use roughly then go for desktop its highly durable and can be maintain easily but laptop need to handle with care, can not work for long time continually even its maintenance is costly. So I go for desktop.
This is one epic discussion ..
I recently read an article on Facebook fanpage of HCL which talks about the same.
To decide, one need to break down 'how he is going to use the machine for' :
Like for me below are important:
- Speed/performance
- Specifications
- Screen size
- Burning CDs and DVDs
- Playing Games (It is imp for me)
Now the biggest benefit with Laptop is its portability factor but you should be sure about the configuration of your system as once you are done with your purchase then in a laptop upgrading is difficult.
A desktop's basic drawback is its portability as one cannot carry his desktop system to office. But you got the freedom to customize your whole system to suit your requirements, whenever you feels like !!!
So first thing is to chalk down your requirements... then try to zero in your system's configuration... Give consideration to 'where you are going to use the system' and make a decision...
Hope this helps![]()

See the desktop has one more additional features which will be less in laptops that you can easily upgrade you system according to your need although it can be done in many other laptop but their parts will not be easily available in the market or you need to wait for long time.
In the past, the laptop was a downgrade from a desktop, unable to perform as well and as fast and missing many of the features that a desktop had but with the benefit of being mobile. Today, the two are nearly equals with the main difference being that on a laptop you are confined to your battery life. While batteries are improving and you can purchase a back-up battery, your "on-time" is still dependant on the battery life.thanks
