I know many people buy from flipkart and are very happy.

I know some people had bad experience shopping online. But I think you need to be little smart in order to segregate a scam shopping sites from good legitimate one. You can opt for cash on delivery payment which ensures you pay after the product is delivered. In this way you can avoid scam sites and experience risk free online shopping in India as well as make shopping enjoyable

i have purchased nearly like Rs.40k items from flipkart mostly electronic items and i have a very good experience from flipkart, the quality of the product is very good, i have not tried any other shopping websites apart from that but flipkart offers variety of products and the collection is really good and the price is very reasonable, e-commerce is a boom in urban metro cities as most people don't have time for physically going to the shop and buying items in their busy work schedule, most of urban youths prefer buying from online shopping websites.

I had good experience with e-bay, flipcart, letsbuy (now part of flipkart) and shopclues.
Had poor experience with snapdeal and tradus.

I got fake arrow socks/ fake deos from shopclues but kara facial wipes was original, you get fake products mostly in jaw dropping deals.
I bought only 2-3 products from flipkart till now and 100+ items from other shopping sites......i don't like flipkart becoz i always find products at cheaper price @ other sites/offline...ofcourse they deliver products within 72 hrs after placing order.....30 days replacement policy is cumbersome on electronic products....
Ebay experience has been good so far, bought many products from reputed sellers only.
Pepperfry.com was okay, bought many Philips QT4019 trimmers for 600-700rs (for friends), recently i bought Philips HL1606 Mixer Grinder from them.
Tradus.in & homeshop18 were okay, they are lazy in shipping items , CC sucks....

I have used flipkart a few times purely because they have cash on delivery option and I only bought products that I know very well about and flipkart have been good so far. I dont have any complaints so far and will continue to use them.
